So you want to know more .......

Gibb River Road Bus Services is a unique and innovative service which began in May 2004.

Plying between Kununurra and Derby along the famous Gibb River Road, it is the most remote regular passenger transport service in Australia.  Traveling a distance of over 700km per day including 580km of dirt road through the Kimberley outback of Western Australia requires a sturdy and reliable vehicle.  That's why we purchased a new 21 passenger 4WD Isuzu bus providing a smooth ride with excellent vision and air conditioned comfort (why do it the hard way?).

Locally owned and operated, the Gibb River Express provides passengers with a viable and comfortable alternative to explore the rugged Kimberley outback.

The real beauty of this bus service is that once you purchase your multistop ticket you can design your own adventure at half the cost of alternative options.

Take a ride straight through in a day or hop off at any of the exciting destinations along the way.  Take advantage of the generous Free Pick Up when visiting Mt Hart Wilderness Lodge, Charnley River Station or Mt Elizabeth Station (conditions apply).  We provide direct stops at Birdwood Downs Station, Home Valley Station and Emma Gorge Resort / Voyages Elquestro.  Or if you want to do some camping, hire one of our Camp Packs and visit Manning Gorge for a couple of days, check our Map page for destination information.

The bus stops at Ellenbrae Homestead for coffee and cake.  Restrooms and refreshments are also available at Mt Barnett Roadhouse and Imintji Store.

Big Thanks to the guys from BDI Skip bins for taking care of our mini skip bins after each trip. Offering the best Perth skip bins prices
